Giving the PBL Some Love

February 14 is near so let’s give PBL some lovin’…

I remember some weeks back, Hoops.Blink.Ph contacted the PBL Webmaster if they will allow us to hook up PBL news here at hoops. Unfortunately, our request went air ball. After all, does the email webmaster@domain.com ever functional. I guess, most of time, it isn’t.

Thus, after three or so months of basketball rah-rah rumblings from this site and from handful of bloggers, we got NO PBL article thus far. Nothing! Nada! Wala! Zero! Bokya!

Though, we were ignored on our request to fill this site with some PBL updates, in the spirit of fair basketball reporting, a la Mike “Coughing” Enriquez, excuse me po, we are still to feature some PBL news. Linked up news if we happen to see significant news, events and milestones in the PBL. And maybe, get to hear/read some PBL thoughts too from our hoops-pool.

Oh and by the way, if there is one thing that the PBL does better than the PBA, check the site of the two, PBL is by far better in terms of design, usability, content, stats feed, pageload speed and interactivity.

Paging Commissioner Chino Trinidad and/or Deputy Commissioner Tommy C. Ong, if you happen to get this entry allow us to post game recaps and more. Tell us how we can spread myPBL. After all, it’s supposed to everybody’sPBL.

But then again, league higher-ups are too busy to go thru blog? And so therefore, back to the basics, see linked up PBL tidbits below, this is the least we can do.

    Yes its early PM, people at work still. I believ they have weekend games. I got TV ’round that time but like Sydman, am not into PBL too. (Not into college hoops too. Makikibasa na lang ako.)

    of course its me..di ba ako un favorite punching bag ng mga bloggers especially when it comes to my sportcasting style..but then again nothing personal..hahaha ako nga ito at wala ng iba…chino3..i can even send u pics if u want..btw just met with our website crew and expect a redesigned mypbl.com in a weeks time..maybe u can help me markus..i am hoping to post video hilites of our games..there is a dynamite of a player many of our hoops crazy brothers are missing out on..he goes by the name of marvin cruz..believe me you will be mesmerized by his moves…

    Yes boss sure, we can help. We may be able to give inputs as to what we want to see/experience sa basketball site. We’ll check your revamped site by then and we’ll give straight feedback and suggestions while your site is in beta mode.

    We too are testing video runs (albeit simple execution) at right sidebar of our site. If you have video clips, throw it to us please, and we’ll stream. Though videos eat a lot of bandwidth, lets load it up so we can see collection of PBL highlights on scheduled slot. Let us and our visitors see the new dynamites. Lets bring them on…

    actually before the coliseum,noli eala has his hands full putting the final pieces to our task of asking fiba to lift our suspension.we can no longer stomach not being able to play in the international level.sayang we have more than enough talent for a competitive national team not to mention the cooperation of basketball leaders,which is unprecendented in the history of the game we love.
    to chrisangelo,the PBL double header is played live on Studio 23 2 to 6pm Tues-Thurs-Sat..then it is rebroadcast on Channel 33 8 to 12 midnight on the same days…thanks and happy viewing

    us too sir chino. my basketball memories include benjie paras playing monster ball against middle eastern guys, samboy lim playing at high level in asian circuit, allan caidic giving koreans and china their own doses, chito loyzaga holding court vs huge china players and all that. lumalaban na pinoy. e now, weve been shelved. sayang talaga, the kids are missing out on this. kung kelan pa ulit may funding and support. kung kelan pa may cooperation amongst leaders and commisioners. kung kelan pa we got players and coaches who are dying to represent us. i i dont know where these renegades’ are thinking. In the game of basketball kasi di maiiwasan ang may player na swapang. In ball leadership and organization, selfish people exist too.

    i wish so. the fact that south korea sucked at the asiad and qatar won the silver means asia is currently a basketball wasteland.

    lebanon? we defeated them. japan is hardly a threat while the other ussr states are not really “great” teams to begin with.

    china is the only threat to us and they are automatically in.

    curse those BAP bigwigs for wasting our basketball medals. if this keeps up, vietnam would overtake us and become the supreme ruler of SE Asian basketball!

    WHY!?!?!?!?!

    this is our make or break year. i don’t see any good big man additions for the next two years so this means we should have this reinstatement before asi and the others get past their prime.

    Yes Kume’ Chino. The mypbl.com is linked long time ago here, at “sites” page. Re PBL game results, we are still thinking (and reading) how to incorporate automatically here at site (PBA results too). ESPN supplies code (like the one we are testing now at left side bar) that auto feeds the results. Maybe your team could give us that code with links going straight to the recaps and stat. Thanks for working out with hoops. We salute ya.

    By the way, we sent you email to your given email addresses last week, were you (and Ms. Bell) able to get it?

    Regarding international olympics, end of tunnel may be near now. Sugod mga kapatid !!!!

    of course jason castro is another gem in the pbl.you will see more of jason in the harbour-happe finals starting tues feb 13.best of 5 series un and if u want to come by the games.ITS FREE ENTRANCE .february 17 we will be at the arena of san juan for game 3.it will also be the crowning of the new mvp.its a close one between marvin cuz and jason castro.

    the first thing i look when i visit PBL are the scores for the latest match, secondary na lang cgro ung mga stats..

    can they just have the scores, the stats and the stories to follow…?
