Eugene Tejada Charity Game
August 31, 2006 by .:. · 2 Comments
On September 23 2006, you may want to see a live charity game, help along the way and feel good about yourself. Eugene Tejada, a Purefoods player, landed badly against Red Bull months back. Let’s help him get back up. Prayers too will help.
Remember PBA cager Eugene Tejada? Well he suffered that unfortunate fall, and needs to undergo a 12M operation. I wish anyone who is anyone who knows anyone that might want to donate and help Eugene. I got texts from a friend and they will be mounting a charity game on Sep. 23 at the San Juan Gym. Please support this project. Thanks. For any donations of money, or services, please email genie@steakproductions.com and text 09274414311. - From Francis Magalona’s Site.
USA Team Basketball Declassified

I watched the whole game between Germany and the USA, one word describes it. Boooooooooring.
The Americans shooting brick after brick and at one time, Melo shot a seven footer, wide open and missed it badly. He ran back court, he can’t believe he missed the gimme, he was smiling. I was not.
You’d think, what the???, USA won over Deutschland by 20 points, isn’t that enough? Well, if you saw the whole game, the score does not validate the American struggle especially in the first half. While watching, I wondered, with Dirk running on a Volkswagen fumes, why can’t the US blow this team out. Greece, Argentina and Spain all have something to look forward to and believe in to. That is, this USA team is B-E-A-T-A-B-L-E. Read more

The Johnny Abarientos Predicament
August 30, 2006 by .:. · 5 Comments
Johnny Abarientos: Why he still playing befuddles me. This guy was the best point guard for the most part of the 90’s. Safe to say, he’s one of the best Filipino point guards EVER. Couple of years back, he was still competitive but not at the top of his game anymore. But in a series, he busted his face after colliding with a player (bad omen: I think the series was against his mortal enemy now, the Alaska). He was playing great in this series/game at the time of this hit. The injury was so severe that it needed, I believe, multiple surgeries. After this serious injury, he should have retired by then.
